Clarity, credibility, and a pathway to join and support the organisation
A non-profit, campus-based organisation
Entering a new chapter of growth and expansion
Website strategy + Shopify redesign
the context
The existing website couldn’t support that next stage.
It felt primarily like an online merch store, with little clarity around programmes, how to join, or the real impact of the organisation’s work.
To grow intentionally, the brand needed a website that had structure, credibility, and clear communication of her offers.
HER University had built strong momentum on campus. More young women were discovering the organisation and wanting to be part of the community, during university life.
But many people were joining because the organisation looked popular, without fully understanding its purpose, programmes, or expectations. At the same time, the founder had bigger goals of expanding to new campuses, and becoming a recognised national movement.
strategic direction
The website needed to reposition HER University from a campus brand into an impact-led organisation.
Our strategy focused on: • Balancing selling her merch, with showing her services • Clarifying programmes, expectations, and how to join • Showcasing real community impact and charitable work • Positioning the organisation as structured, purposeful, and scalable
The experience needed to help visitors quickly understand what HER University is, who it serves and how to support.
the build
The redesigned website included:
• Dedicated programme pages explaining purpose, structure, and how to apply • Clear pathways to join, support, or start a chapter • Use of lifestyle and community photos to reflect real impact • Streamlined shopping experience, with donations supporting the brand's work
Following her launch, HER University successfully had a website that matched the level she was operating at, and supported its next phase of growth. As well as a:
• Clearer understanding of programmes and expectations • Reduced confusion around how to join or support • Stronger alignment between the brand’s mission and brand's aesthetic • A website built to support long-term movement growth, and visibility
outcomes & impact
The founder loved how intentionally the website connected every part of the organisation, from community impact to her programmes to her merch. She was grateful to have a platform that supports her long-term vision for expansion and nation-wide recognition.
